It feels like the rain and wind haven't stopped all month — and it all came together perfectly (or imperfectly!) for the Taranaki Golf Ambrose. Teams started, stopped, abandoned, a few even finished — but everyone ended up soaked. We switched to a random draw for the prizes, which brought plenty of laughs and hoots, but overall, the day could best be described as a bit of a disaster!

The good news is that the auction items have been saved for the Pro-Am at Ngamotu on the 22nd of October, so there's still something great to look forward to.

Our junior teams have done us proud at the Booth Shield and Boys Interprovincials — must be those sharp new polos kindly funded by our generous supporters!

The Senior Men's Pennants final at Stratford Golf Club was a thriller, with Ngamotu edging out Manaia in a nail-biter finish.

Best of luck to our Shand and Sybil representative teams playing against Hawkes Bay, Wellington and Manawatu/Wanganui tomorrow — here's hoping for results as strong as our juniors!

And finally, make sure to get down to Ngamotu from the 23rd of October to watch the Taranaki Open. Some of the best players in the country will be battling it out for our very own Open title — it's going to be a fantastic event!
