Back from the River Rhine
I've just returned in one piece from a trip along the River Rhine. Plenty of castles and cathedrals — though not many golf courses! I did manage to swing a club in Scotland at Bruntsfield Links, established in 1456 (no typo). A unique experience topped off with a visit to The Golf Tavern, Edinburgh's oldest pub and dining spot. Check out this unique place
The Golf Tavern, Bruntsfield | Edinburgh's Oldest Pub & Dining Not quite St Andrews, but it was a perfect fit for me, my two sons, my wife, and my daughter-in-law.
Taranaki Masters
The Taranaki Masters took place on the 6th and 7th of September, with a pleasing full field enjoying back-to-back rounds at Fitzroy and Ngamotu. Both courses presented superb conditions, though the weather kept everyone on their toes—strong winds at Fitzroy followed by a mix of rain, wind, hail, and sunshine at Ngamotu. Congratulations to all participants for showing great resilience and spirit across the two days.
A highlight of the tournament was involving two of our junior players as starters on day one. It was fantastic to see our youth step up, connect, and lead alongside our “older” members—something we encourage other clubs to try. A big thank you to Izzy Robinson and Finn Langman for doing such a great job!
Junior Boys Interprovincial
Congratulations to Jackson Moorhead, Kingston Taylor-Voyle, Max Van Beers, Divan Denton, Louie Wright, Oliva Symes and Michael Obreja-Damian who will be playing in Cambridge at the NZ Junior Boys Interprovincial in the September holidays.

Congratulations to the following players, Harry Mattson, Vivaan Chand, Lukie Rowson, Ethan Hollard, Calen Parsons, Emilee Venables - Zhou, Izzy Robinson, Hannah Armstrong, Izaro Sasia Williamson and Meike Drinkwater.
A heartfelt thank you to the members who supported our juniors with uniforms, they will be looking sharp on the fairways!
