2024 Men's Representative Trial Details
Taranaki Golf Men’s 2024 Representative Trials (Senior and Masters)
Selection Criteria
Golfers wishing to be considered to play in this year’s representative trials should register their interest with the selectors:

Players wishing to be selected for Taranaki must be a full playing member of a Golf Club in the district and be a NZ Citizen or hold a valid NZ Residence Permit.
Those selected to play representative golf for Taranaki are required to sign the Taranaki Golf players Code of Conduct on an annual basis.
Trial Dates
Saturday 11 May Egmont Championships, Stratford GC 27 holes
Sunday 28 July New Plymouth GC 36 holes
Saturday 10 August Dunlop Insurance, Te Ngutu GC 27 holes
Saturday 31 August & Sunday 1 September Bunnings Trade Taranaki Masters, Fitzroy/New Plymouth GC 36 holes (Masters only)
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September Westown Cup, Westown GC 36 holes
Sunday 13 October New Plymouth GC 36 holes (Seniors only)
Results from Taranaki Open 24-27 October, senior pennants, Champion of Champions and other NZOOM tournament performances will be taken into consideration for selection of teams.

Shand Cup 19 & 20 October (Seniors) Te Ngutu GC
Freyberg 10 - 17 November (Masters) Invercargill GC
Interprovincial 30 November - 8 December (Seniors) Christchurch
Trial Points System
At trials points will be awarded as follows:
18-27 holes, 10 points for first, through to 1 point for 10th.
36-holes, points will be awarded for each 18 holes (10 through to 1 point), with an additional 5 points awarded to top 5 finishers over both rounds.
Best 7 of 8 rounds will be counted.
Please Note Golfers will need to have registered to be eligible to receive points from trial events.
Points awarded based on where golfers finish in relation to other trialists only.
