Women’s Representative Selection Criteria
Player performances will be monitored throughout the season, with particular emphasis on the following key events:
Interprovincial
- Taranaki Women’s Strokeplay champs
- 2 out of 4 events
- Taranaki Open (6-10 May)
- Egmont Champs (Stratford) 23 May
- Dunlop insurance 27-hole (Te Ngutu) 8 August
- Westown classic (12,13 Sept)
- 2 rounds of match play 27 Sept – course to be decided
- Gross/Stableford points to be recorded and used as a criteria for selection.
Masters
- Taranaki Masters 5-6 September
- Taranaki Stroke play champs
- Taranaki women’s stroke play champs.
- Selection on Gross/Stableford scores.
Players are strongly encouraged to compete in as many local and national events as possible to demonstrate form, competitiveness, and commitment.
Additional Selection Considerations
Selection is based on more than scoring alone. The following factors will also be considered:
- Results from other Taranaki and national tournaments
- Previous performances in Taranaki Representative Teams
- Ability to contribute positively within a team environment
- Demonstrated desire and commitment to represent Taranaki
- Attitude and conduct both on and off the course
- Appropriate fitness and physical preparedness
- Any disciplinary matters
Selection panels reserve the right to consider all relevant information when finalising teams.

Conditions of Selection
The selected player must be available for, and commit to, all Taranaki representative fixtures, team preparation programmes, and team meetings. Selected players who can’t attend a fixture must provide adequate proof to be granted dispensation.
Code of Conduct
ALL Players seeking representative selection are required to sign the Taranaki Golf players Code of Conduct on an annual basis.
Induction
ALL Players seeking representative selection are required to attend Taranaki Golf Representative Player Induction on an annual basis.

Failure to comply in the above may impact on future selections.
